Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a predictive technique which is widely applied throughout the world in relation to major development projects. It is also used to assess the potential effects of policies, programmes and plans on the environment.
The purpose of this programme is provide officials within the government and private sectors with the tools needed to effectively evaluate, manage and implement environmental impact assessments.
