This programme is designed for learners working within a local government structure, who participate in municipal governance and have been elected as municipal councillors, where the acquisition of competence in this programme will add value to their job and managerial capabilities. The completion of this programme will provide the learner with an understanding of the principles underpinning policy making in general or specific fields of the local government sector. The learner will also be equipped to complete policy formulation within own work context.
